Shalin Haria is the Chief Actuary at Talbot. He has overall responsibility for the Reserving, Pricing, Exposure Management and Cat Modelling teams. He began his career in actuarial consultancy at PwC, qualifying as a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries in 2007 and then moving into the insurance industry in 2008 when he joined the London branch of OdysseyReas as Branch Actuary. In 2011 he joined Brit Insurance where he held a dual role as a Group Actuary and Actuarial Business Partner, before joining Talbot in 2018 as Head of Reserving. Shalin has significant actuarial and management experience and holds a degree in mathematics and economics from Nottingham university.
