Interim Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer

Richard Cowling joined Talbot in September 2021, and currently serves as Interim Chief Executive Officer, subject to regulatory approval, and Chief Financial Officer. He is an accomplished finance professional with more than 16 years of insurance industry experience. He was previously at StarStone, where he served as Interim Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer. During his tenure, he led a successful Group Finance transformation, as well as played a significant role in the recapitalising of StarStone's U.S. subsidiary with an additional $630 million of new capital. He has also held leadership roles at Aviva and RSA Insurance Group. Richard is a graduate of the University of Bath and holds a degree in Mathematics; he is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
